The wall, made from prefabricated esp concrete components, has upright load-bearing supports (3) and horizontal slabs or panels. Each upright has a top projection (7) which passes through an aperture (14) in a horizontal member and engages with a matching recess (9) in the upright above it. The front of each horizontal member rests in an intermediate cavity in a support, and layers of geotextile mesh can be inserted between adjacent uprights.
