<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a cold cathode, by which the stability of emission current is improved, breaking is prevented, and long service life is obtained. SOLUTION: The load impressed to individual emitter is reduced, and current flowing therein is restricted by dividing a cathode into small areas and connecting current control element thereto, by the above, the element is prevented from breakage, and the element with long service life is provided. Further, by dividing the areas into symmetry, and applying individual driving and switching control, the element breaking is prevented, the emitted area of electron forms a symmetric shape, and an electron beam with good convergence is realized.</p> |
