<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera for enabling character information to be recognized easily by setting the color of characters according to the color information of an image that becomes a background. SOLUTION: A signal control microcomputer 13 reads the brightness signal and color difference signal of the entire image pickup screen from a signal- processing circuit 12 to create background color information. A display control microcomputer 16 sets the color of the character information according to the background color information. A MIX circuit 14 superposes an image signal that is outputted from the signal-processing circuit 12 onto a character signal having color information that is outputted from a character signal creation circuit 17 for displaying on a liquid crystal monitor 15.</p> |
