PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asymmetrical half bridge converter which generates an output voltage in a minimum permissible error range, and has high cost efficiency. SOLUTION: This concerns a power supply device (2, 3) equipped with a direct current-to-direct current converter. This power supply device is equipped with a half bridge composed of a first switching element (4, 21) and a second switching element (5, 20). This half bridge is arranged between a first DC potential and a second DC potential for the operation of the power device (2, 3). In addition, a transformer (7, 23) is provided, and along with a first capacity element (6, 22) the primary winding of this transformer is arranged in a circuit branch connected in parallel with the switching element (4, 21). In this circuit branch, the capactive element is connected in series to the primary winding. A primary-side control loop for controlling the voltage (V0 ) of the primary winding of the transformer (7, 23), by adapting control signals (a1, a2, b1, b2) for the switching elements, is provided in addition.
