PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable concentrating on reading by eliminating a load for operating an display device when reading electronic information. SOLUTION: A proximity control device detecting movement of fingers and controlling is provided separately from an display device main body, and a command is sent to the display device main body, thereby extremely smoothly conducting scroll operation of displayed information of the display device or operation of setting an electronic bookmark can be achieved.
