PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a printing time by greatly simplifying character dot pixel information that computer can display, to shorten the transmission time of communication, and to decrease storage capacity. SOLUTION: The coordinate points of the start point, intermediate point, and end point are optionally determined in the stroke order of a character of constitution elements pixels by dots of the character which can be displayed by the computer and only the two-dimensional coordinate values of X and Y as the points which are optionally specified are extracted and encoded to decrease the information amount of the character constitution pixels.
