Nail and wall plug combination comprises an expanding metal sleeve (30) having a folding section (31) on the base with an internal diameter that is smaller than the internal diameter of the remaining part of the metal sleeve. The metal sleeve has on its upper side a peripheral flange, which has on the inner surface of the folding section a longitudinal vertical slit and a transverse section (36). The nail (10) has a peripheral protrusion (12) on its shaft. Removal of the nail from the metal sleeve is essentially prevented when the peripheral protrusion of the nail is driven through an object (50) below the transverse section of the metal sleeve inserted in a fixed element.
