<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emitting element with improved electron emitting property, using a glass plate which requires treatment such as surface coating, enabled to easily make the size big. SOLUTION: The electron emitting element has carbon films 12, 13 as structural elements separated by a gap 11 laid between them, which are formed on a glass plate, and expressed in mol%, the glass contains SiO2 by 65-75, B2 O3 by 15-25, Al2 O3 or alkali earth metal oxide by 3-15, and other metal oxide content of alkali metal oxide is 7 or less.</p> |
