PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional power supply unit using solar battery, which is sometimes used in a condition deviated from the maximum efficiency of the solar battery due to changes in the panel temperature of the solar battery or voltage on load side, and thus needs a more area than the solar battery requires. SOLUTION: The power supply unit using a solar battery comprises the solar battery 1, a capacitor C1, connected to the solar battery 1 via an input side counter-flow preventing diode D1, a self-excited power circuit 2 connected to the capacitor C1, and a load 3 connected to the self-excited power circuit 2 via a load side counter-flow preventing diode D6.
