PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device for navigation and a navigation device to attain improvement in the feeling of presence by rounding the horizon. SOLUTION: In the map display method for navigation with a birds-eye view display function displaying a map picture together with a background picture, in addition to the effect of birds-eye view display, the birds-eye view with enhanced feeling of presence can be displayed by displaying the rounded horizon representing the boundary between the map picture and the background picture.
