摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous and gas-permeable substructure for a thin airtight layer, which is used for a functional component of a high temperature fuel cell in particular, an electrochemical functional component for the fuel cell using the substructure, and a method for manufacturing the substructure. SOLUTION: This porous and gas-permeable layer substructure (5, 5a, 5b) for the thin airtight layer (89) can be used for the functional component of the high temperature fuel cell (8) in particular. This layer substructure has a smooth surface (50a) suitable for applying a gas-impervious layer or a multi- layer system containing the gas-impervious layer, and it is applied by a screen printing method or a means using other coating methods. The smooth surface is formed by a compacted edge zone (50). The edge zone and a carrier structure (51) adjacent to it are produced by a mixture of materials having uniform particles which can be sintered.
