PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor power steering system in which generation of noise is stopped at steering. SOLUTION: In the motor power steering system which is fixed as the steering unit of the steering wheels, e.g. the front wheels of an automobile, the steering wheels are steered by the auxiliary steering force of a brushless motor and the manual steering force of a steering handle. According to the procedure of S1-S7, r.p.m. is calculated based on the detection signal from a resolver, an optimal lead angle is calculated depending on the r.p.m., and the brushless motor is driven with a timing signal corresponding to the lead angle at the control circuit section of the brushless motor. According to the arrangement, waveform of a power supply current is flattened and variation (current ripples) thereof can be suppressed. |
