摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate the amount of power loss due to the switching operation of a GTO element. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for inverter equipment involves a process in which the power loss of a GTO element of pnpn structure in switching is evaluated and a process, in which a cooling device is designed. In the power loss evaluating process, gate current is supplied to a gate terminal G of a model circuit for evaluation including a first series circuit in which first p-n junction PN1, a switching means SW, and a second p-n junction PN2 are connected, a second series circuit comprising a resistor R connected in parallel with the switching means SW and a capacitor C, the gate terminal G, and an inductance means L1, and thereafter the switching means is brought into conduction with delay to produce anode current. The gate current is led out of the gate terminal, and further the switching element is brought out of conduction to control the anode current so that the anode current is eliminated. Thus, power loss in the model circuit for evaluation due to switching of the anode current is evaluated.
