PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to furnish a conventional small standing lamp with function as a flashlight, as well as illumination effect as a lantern and appearance as an interior decoration. SOLUTION: The lamp consists of a standing lamp main body 11 of a flashlight type with its light-emitting part as a front and a side faces of a front base assembly 5 and cover 10 covering a whole main body except the front face and made free in sliding around the outer periphery of the main body. The cover 10, when the lamp is mounted on a desk or the like with the front face of the main body directed downward, can be pushed down until its end face reaches the mounting level and, in that position, can cover the whole standing lamp main body 11 to be treated as an interior decoration. Further, when the cover 10 is lifted up to a given position from this state, it is so made to keep its elevated position, so that it functions as a lantern for illuminating the surroundings from the side face of the front base assembly. A lamp 8 is lit on and off with a switch which goes on and off in accordance with the up and down operation of the cover 10. The cover 10 lifted, it functions as a flashlight. |
