PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress yellowing of the panel in the PDP, in which silver electrode is arranged in the substrate. SOLUTION: The silver electrode 105 contains silver particles and glass frit same as the silver electrode, in general, but a silver ionization inhibitory substance that works to suppress ionization of silver is added in the silver electrode 105. The silver ionization inhibitory substance is an element or a compound, that has a standard electrode potential lower than the standard electrode potential of silver (0.8 V), and for example, alkali metals (Li, Na, K or the like), alkali earth metals (Ca, Sr, Ba), an element which belongs to transition metal (excluding mercury) other than precious metal (Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu), or oxides, hydroxides, halides, nitrides, carbides, nitrates, carbonates, sulfates or the like of these elements can be cited.
