PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anybody to easily play a guitar and master a method for operating a musical instrument with enjoyment. SOLUTION: A musical score is constituted by arraying musical score symbols, each composed of a combination of a number indicating the pitch of a sound corresponding to a natural note and a figure showing the length of a sound corresponding to a note, in array according to the melody of music and then arranged longitudinally and laterally in sections formed by drawing lines in a checkerboard shape so that identical musical score symbols cross each other. A player plays the guitar while referring to an operation contrast table wherein sounds indicated by numbers and operation positions of the musical instrument are made to correspond to each other and a note contrast table wherein the lengths of sounds shown by figures and notes are made to correspond to each other.
