PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication unit that can realize enhanced demodulation accuracy. SOLUTION: The communication unit (master unit) of this invention is provided with a control circuit 10 that uses a training frame sent from a slave unit at training to calculate transmission line characteristics and an equalizer coefficient, estimates a sample synchronization position of a pilot tone in the training frame on the basis of the equalizer coefficient and instructs adjustment of the sample synchronization position so that a mean value of group delays being one of the transmission line characteristics, and with a sample synchronization circuit 31a that adjusts a current sample clock according to the adjustment instruction.
