DATA CENTER SYSTEM AND CHARACTER ENTRY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data center system and a character entry method by which a user of a portable device can enter characters readily. SOLUTION: A scanner 111 of the portable device 1 reads image of a document. Then the portable device 1 transmits image data obtained from the scanner 111 to a data center 2. The data center 2 receives the image data and converts the image data into text data. Then the data center 2 conducts various kinds of information processing to the converted text data and transmits the processing result or the like to the portable device 1. The mobile unit 1 displays the processing result or the like.
