PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system in which an operator can perform detection of an event, i.e., an object to be monitored, tracking of a moving body, or recognition of a feature efficiently using a sound or an image recorded in a monitoring area. SOLUTION: A sound generated in a monitoring area and the images of major places are recorded using a plurality of acoustic sensors and image sensors. An event is detected and a moving body related to the event is tracked by analyzing the stored acoustic data. On the other hand, the time when the moving body enters the photographing range of the image sensor and the image data of the moving body is acquired at that time or thereabout. |
