PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a circuit scale at low costs without reducing the life of a power converter. SOLUTION: The power supply apparatus comprises first and second capacitors C1 and C2 that have different capacities and are connected in parallel, a battery power supply 1 that is connected in series with the first and second capacitors C1 and C2, a power converter 2 for supplying power that is charged by the first and second capacitors C1 and C2 and/or battery power supply 1 to a load, a voltage detection circuit 4 for detecting a voltage value that is supplied from the power converter 2 to the load, a first switch circuit S1 for changing the connection relationship of the power converter 2 to the first and second capacitors C1 and C2 and the battery power supply 1, and a control circuit 5 for controlling the switching of a first switch circuit S1 based on a voltage value that is detected by the voltage detection circuit 4 and selecting the first capacitor C1 or the second capacitor C2 for connecting to the power converter 2. |
