PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can eliminate the need for outputting a concealed pattern, in the case of forming an image such as a test pattern processed in terms of software and surely attach the concealed pattern to the image, in the case of forming usual image data supplied in terms of hardware onto a medium. SOLUTION: In the case of forming a color image on an image-forming medium by attaching a particular concealed pattern to the color image by the color image forming device, the imaging device uses not only a control signal in terms of software as a control signal, to attach the particular concealed pattern to the color image but also uses a control signal in terms of the hardware used without fail, to form the color image on the image-forming medium. A concrete concealed pattern attaching mechanism is configured to form the particular concealed pattern onto the color image without fail, in the case of forming a normal image, on the basis of the hardware control signal and the software control signal, and when no color image data are received, a test pattern selected by a selection section is synthesized with output image data. |
