PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a lot of time is taken for the initialization of a recordable optical disk having phase transition recording film. SOLUTION: The phase transition film of the phase transition recording disk 26 is irradiated with laser beams of a solid-state laser 21 with half-value pulse width of 10 ns-1μs, thereby the amorphous state of this phase transition recording disk 26 is changed to the crystalline state, then the phase transition recording disk 26 and an irradiated part by the laser beams are relatively changed, and the recorded part of this phase transition recording disk 26 is scanned.
