PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, in a system in which a storage control device limits the access by identifiers of fibre channel ports for data input-output, where the data input/output becomes impossible, due to the difference in the identifiers of the fibre channel ports, between before and after exchanging the fibre channel ports on a host device. SOLUTION: The storage control device 40 detects the exchange of the fibre channel ports by taking the difference between a control table 48 retaining the fibre channel port structure and security information of the host device and the information acquired from a Name Server 31, and amends the control table 48. The data input/output capability, similar to that before exchanging the fibre channel ports of the host device is made available, after exchanging the fibre channel ports, without having to consciously change the security information.
