PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium reproducing device capable of accelerating the switching operation of reproduction among a plurality of recording mediums. SOLUTION: Without regard to whether reproduction is performed presently, pieces of information of readers 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 to which a medium is inserted are all displayed in a display part 19. Recording technique information required for reproducing operation is stored in a storage part 23. Thus, a user can select a piece of music by silently watching and confirming the recording situation of the music of another different medium while listening to the playing-back of some medium. In the case of designating a piece of music, the piece of music can immediately be reproduced without a time for waiting.
