PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic paste suitable for forming a ceramic green layer for step absorption on a ceramic green sheet with high pattern accuracy and strong adhesion to inner electrodes so as to substantially eliminate the step caused by the thickness of the inner electrodes in manufacturing, for example, a laminated ceramic capacitor. SOLUTION: A ceramic paste containing a metal-organic compound in addition to ceramic powder, an organic solvent, and an organic binder, is used for forming a ceramic green layer 5 for step absorption on a main surface of a green sheet so as to substantially eliminate the step caused by the thickness of the inner electrodes 1. By the metal-organic compound, viscosity of the ceramic paste is increased and adhesion to the inner electrodes 1 is strengthened. Structural defects are difficult to occur in a laminated ceramic electronic component such as the obtained laminated ceramic capacitor.
