The road surface lighting fitting (1) has a watertight and blowproof formation and comprises a rust free, metal tube piece (2), which on its upper edge has an inwardly extending flange (3) and on its lower edge is closed by a base plate (4) on which light-emitting diodes (5) with corresponding connections are fitted. The tube piece on its side edge is provided with a connection (6) for the input of a current cable (7). The upper side of the fitting is closed by a transparent plastic plate (8) with embedded glass pearls (9). The tube piece on its periphery is provided with all-round ribs (10).
