A novel prepreg

A shapeable prepreg comprising fibres and a polymeric, multiphase matrix. The matrix comprises a first matrix component consisting of a monomer or a dendrimer and a second matrix component comprising of high molecular weight organic molecules. The second matrix component forms a sticky membrane of the prepreg with an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) bonding to the first matrix component. Also described is a composite for use in medical or dental constructions or for technical use as parts of instruments, tools, devices and materials.
