The invention relates to a switching device (2) for a vehicle gearbox, comprising a selector shaft (6), whereby at least one shift hub (18) is arranged in a displaceable manner within a gearbox housing on the selector shaft (6). The selector shaft (6) comprises at least one selector pin (30), which may be rotated with the selector shaft (6) about an axis (12) of rotation and which may be displaced with the selector shaft (6) along the axis (12) of rotation. The selector hub (18) may be displaced with the selector pin (30) by the selector shaft (6) depending on the rotation position of the selector shaft (6). The selector pin (30) which displaces the selected selector hub (18) on shifting gear, is arranged outside the selector hub (18) and engages in a tongue (46), connected to and extending from the selector hub (18). The selector hub (18) comprises a slot (34) on the external surface thereof in which a locking device (36, 38, 42) is arranged such as to slide. |
