A particulate filter for removing particulates contained in exhaust gas, comprising filter wall material layers disposed apart from each other and spacer members for separating the filter wall material layers from each other, characterized in that an exhaust gas flow passage is formed with the spaces formed by the filter wall material layers and the spacer members, and a plurality of particulate collecting grooves are formed, apart specified distances from each other, in the surfaces of the filter wall material layers on the exhaust flow passage side in the direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the exhaust gas.
