Energy-saving switching method for unused functions of consumption data monitoring device with timed on-off switching dependent on day of week or time of day

The switching method allows timed on-off switching of the measured data transmission function and other unused functions, in dependence on the day of the week and/or the time of day. The on-off switching points for the switched functions can be programmed by the manufacturer and/or via a service interface. An independent claim for a consumption data monitoring device is also included.
