<p>The invention concerns a device and a method for continuously producing a glass-sheathed metal wire (10) of great length, which consists in mainly using a feeding tube (15) containing all the required metal, itself placed in a glass tube (20), so as to provide continuous supply of a drop of molten metal (14) at the base of the glass tube (20). By heating with a first inductor (23) around the glass tube (20) and a second inductor (24) beneath the glass tube (20) the molten metal drop (14) temperature is maintained continuously constant and the glass-sheathed metal wire (10) is continuously drawn.</p> |
