<p>A catalyst carrier structural body (1) allowing the efficient use of the active surface of a catalyst carrier ceramic material or a functional ceramic material to remarkably increase the exhaust emission purifying performance of a catalyst for exhaust emission purification, comprising a plurality of ceramic wire material layers (2) having a plurality of ceramic wire materials (3) parallel with each other and spacers (4) disposed between the ceramic wire material layers (2), wherein, when the catalyst for exhaust emission purification using the catalyst carrier structural body (1) is used, exhaust emission should desirably be passed vertically relative to the axial direction of the ceramic wire materials (3) when the exhaust emission is passed between the ceramic wire material layers (2).</p> |
