A multiple cylinder internal combustion engine having a plurality of cylinders and a single common crank shaft, wherein part of combustion (expansion) gas produced in the period of the first half of the explosion (expansion) stroke in any one of the cylinders is taken out and introduced into another cylinder which is in the suction stroke or compression stroke, thereby improving combustibility in each cylinder.
