<p>A process for producing a cheese-like dairy product characterized by comprising to a milk material adding 10% by weight or more, based on the milk material, of water containing Paenibacillus sp.</i> cells or water having been treated with immobilized Paenibacillus sp. cells, maintaining the mixture at definite temperature, separating the curd thus formed, and then aging it as such to give a desired product; cheese-like products thus produced; and a water purifier packed with a support having Paenibacillus sp. cells immobilized thereon and a filter.</p> |
