The invention relates to an extrusion device for extruding thermoplastics. Said device comprises an extruder barrel (1) provided with an inlet opening (11) and an outlet opening (12), and comprises a screw (2), which can be rotationally driven, which is arranged inside the extruder barrel (1) and which is provided with a screw external thread (20). The extruder barrel (1) and the screw (2) correspondingly have a feed zone (E), which communicates with the inlet opening (11) and inside of which the screw (2) is provided with a constant or variable thread depth of the screw external thread (20), and the extruder barrel (1) is provided with a smooth (10) or slotted (100) inner wall. The extruder barrel and the screw also have a plastifying zone (P) that follows the feed zone (E) in the direction of the outlet opening (12), whereby the plastifying zone (P) comprises a shearing section (S), in which the extruder barrel (1) is provided with an internal thread (101). The internal thread is placed inside the inner wall and extends in a direction counter to that of the screw external thread (20). The thread depth (G2) of the screw (2) increases in the direction of the outlet opening (12), and the thread depth (G1) of the internal thread (101) of the extruder barrel (1) correspondingly decreases in the direction of the outlet opening (12).
