<p>Footwear with an upper (40) extending up to above the axis (C) of the malleoli and joined to a sole assembly (30), of which at least a part is substantially rigid. In the lower portion thereof, beneath a boot leg (41), the upper (40) has a edge that is folded in the same direction on both sides (42. 43) with respect to the longitudinal mid-plane (L) of the foot, so as to be able to be joined to the sole assembly (30) with a sewing seam (45) in correspondence of the edge which extends along at least one of said two sides (42, 43). The sole assembly (30) envelops, at least on one side, the sewing seam (45) between the upper (40) and the same sole assembly (30). Such a footwear is suitable for sports activities, such as for instance motor-cycling and mountaineering, where particular stength and manoeuvring freedom qualities are required and any interference with external objects near or at the junction between upper (40) and sole (10) should be possibly avoided.</p> |
