SUPLATAST TOSILATE CRYSTALS

Suplatast tosilate crystals showing characteristic peaks at diffraction angles (2 theta +/- 0.1 DEG ) of 5.6 DEG , 9.0 DEG , 11.0 DEG , 15.3 DEG , 16.5 DEG , 17.2 DEG , 17.9 DEG , 19.2 DEG and 21.5 DEG in powder X-ray diffractometry; and a process for producing the same. Because of having advantages such as showing no shift in the optically active isomer ratio, being less hygroscopic and having a high storage stability, these suplatast tosilate crystals can be easily produced on a mass scale and are favorable in formulating into preparations and quality controlling, which makes them excellent as a drug material.
