METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING FILTERING OF WEB DOCUMENTS CONTENT

An apparatus and method for preventing selective filtering of web documents content (figure 7A), the methods are applied to a document before it is sent to a client. The method and apparatus modify the document by replacing the source addresses of sub-elements and hyperlinks embedded in the document by the address of a sub-element provider (SEP) and/or a uniform hyperlink destination (UHD) module, passing the original encoded address to said SEP and/or UHD modules. Upon a user request, the SEP and or UHD reconstruct the original address and handle the request, thus preventing the filtering of sub-elements or other resources associated with the document.
