The radiator comprises a conductive plate or film with e.g. square edges with strip-shaped waveguide sections (1.1 to 1.n) which are arranged in a common plane. The radiator system is excited electromagnetically via a waveguide section (2) which is electrically coupled to the radiator plane. The waveguide sections (1,2) may be at right angles to each other.
