<p>Process for photochemical polymsn. of unsatd. polyesters, especially for curing lacquer or paint films based on unsatd. polyesters, comprises irradiating the unsatd. polyester with radiation from a fluorescent mercury discharge lamp, which develops radiation in the long wave ultraviolet resin, and in the region below 3200A. The use of the radiation below 3200 angstroms leads to very short curing times for the unsatd. polyesters. Lacquers, paints etc. based on unsatd. polyesters can be very rapidly cured e.g. 1-2 mins.</p> |
