Recovery of chlorinated or fluorinated hydrocarbons used in dry cleaning. preferably in closed circuit. A current of circulated compressed air is used, preferably electrically heated. the flow of compressed air is controlled, and the air is led to a distillation chamber, at the bottom of which a sludge of dirt can accumulate. the air then goes to a separator, or condenser, through standard arrangements of pipes, and the products of condensation are collected in a receiver. The air, cooled in the condenser, is led back to the compressor. A second form of the method describes the use of a compressor in creating a current of air through a dry cleaning drum, in conjunction with a filter.
|
