An insulated electric wire which comprises a conductive wire covered with a resin composition having a bending modulus of 2000 MPa or less and comprisin g the following components (A), (B) and (C): (A) 100 parts by weight of a mixture of a micro-blend comprising 1 to 70 wt % of a polypropylene and 99 t o 30 wt % of a propylene- ethylene random copolymer with a modified micro-blen d prepared by the bonding of an organic acid group to the micro-blend, (B) 700 parts by weight of a polypropylene, (C) 5 to 200 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the sum of (A) and (B) of a filler capable of forming an ionic crosslinking. The insulated electric wire exhibits a good insulatio n, water resistance and oil resistance, is improved in bending property, the resistance to scraping, the resistance to heat distortion and the whitening by folding, and can be produced with good productivity.
