A longitudinal or circular movable work-table 12 is clamped to a fixed part 10 of a machine tool by means of a clamping member 20 having a cross-sectional shape formed as two rails connected by a flexible web, one rail being bolted to the work-table 12 by bolts 22 and the other rail including a T slot by which means T bolts can clamp the rail to the fixed part 10, the flexible web allowing the T slot rail to rotate slightly so that it is clamped squarely on to the fixed part 10 with substantially symmetrical loading on the T bolts. |
