<p>According to the invention, it is possible to manage general parking (roads, car parks) in a centralized manner by telepayment using a portable telephone. Requests for parking are addressed vocally to a central server and control is effected by means of server interrogation after a dital reference has been communicated, said reference emanating from a radio frequency marker disposed on the vehicle. The inventive system makes it possible to perform optimized management on the basis of user-related behavioural statistics. It does away with the constraints imposed by current systems (change, shuttle backwards and forth to a machine, estimation of duration of parking) and provides flexibility in terms of payment in relation to time spent, guaranteeing immediate payment to the local authorities.
