<p>A card ejecting mechanism which forcibly ejects cards remaining in a card reader, and can be installed in a small space and stowed away, and which comprises a carriage (7) movable along a card (3) carrying direction and provided separately from a card carrying means (5), at least one pawl (8) provided on the carriage and retractable from a card carrying path (4), a carriage moving means (9) for moving the carriage (7) between a pawl retracting position (11) and pawl protruding position (12), and a pawl moving mechanism (10) for moving the pawl (8) away from the card carrying path (4) when the carriage (7) is in the pawl retracting position (11) and moving it into the path (4) when the carriage is in the pawl protruding position (12).</p> |
