A diagnostic and monitoring system is provided for a number of different types of automatic doors that can be located at different points. The monitoring locations (2,4,7,9,10) are connected via data communication lines (3,5,6,8,11) to a central data processing unit (1). A continuous interrogation cycle routine can be carried out to provide status reporting to the central unit. The information can be in the form of error data, frequency of door operations, waiting periods, etc. The communication links can be made over the public telephone network. The central unit may be used to initiate changes in door operation parameters or to provide data to service personnel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Upto data, continuous monitoring. |
