An all-metal flexible conduit for a Bowden cable comprises an inner monocoil 10 wound with abutting convolutions from a strip having a D- shaped cross-section, long lead wires 22 laid round the monocoil 10, and an open outer monocoil 24 round the layer of wires 22. The curved face of the strip 10 faces inwards in the inner monocoil to reduce frictional contact with the movable core 28 of the cable. The monocoil 10 may be of phosphor-bronze, and the wires 22 and monocoil 24 of stainless steel. |
