PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that transmission characteristic is sometimes deteriorated because the RZ optical signal of the optical signal output of a transmitter is deteriorated as the result of the occurrence of phase shift in the impression signal of an RZ pulse modulator and a polarized wave scrambler in a conventional optical transmitter. SOLUTION: Since an RZ pulse modulation CLK signal and a fast polarized wave scrambler driving CLK signal are made to be the same signal (supplied in series), the relative phase variation of the RZ pulse modulation CLK signal and the fast polarized wave scramble driving CLK signal due to the temperature variation of the driving circuit of RZ pulse modulation and a fast polarized wave scrambler is reduced to reduce the optical waveform deterioration of a transmission signal to improve the transmission characteristic. |
