PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laying material being laid to the underfloor section or peripheral section of a building, having excellent mothproof and antibacterial effects and being easily handled while providing its suitable usage. SOLUTION: The laying material 1 is constituted so as to have hinokitiol contents 2, 3 and 4 containing at least a hinokitiol component and a housing body 11, in which the hinokitiol contents 2, 3 and 4 are housed and which can be ventilated to the inside and the outside.
