PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of effecting the operation of demonstration mode without setting the demonstration mode especially. SOLUTION: The air conditioner, provided with an operation mode for display or the demonstration mode other than a normal operation mode, is equipped with a memory element for storing the demonstration mode while the commodity of the air conditioner is delivered under a condition that the demonstration mode is stored in the memory element and when the insertion plug of an indoor machine for the air conditioner is connected to a commercial power supply at a shop, the demonstration mode operation can be effected whereby the demonstration mode operation can be effected simply without effecting any complicated operation.
